• Ski Resort of Bansko
  Bansko is Bulgaria's number 1 ski resort and has benefitted more from investment over the past 5 years than either of it's two rivals below. New hotels, apartment developments and facilities have all been built opposite the main gondola area making it easily accessible to the slopes and an ideal rental investment for any would be property investor.
  
  With over 70 kilometres of slopes to ski on Bansko is an ideal skiers choice when considering Bulgaria as an option for your ski home or holiday. There is even a snowboarders fun park - the first in the Balkans so there's something for everyone
  
  Apres ski is well taken care of with the growing number of fine places to eat and drink. Cafes, traditional Bansko tavernas and even the nightclubs run with their own opening hours so you don't have to worry about closing times.
  
• Borovets Ski Resort
  Borovets is Bulgaria's oldest ski resort with a history dating back as far as 1896. Situated on the Borovets Col and saddled on the northern slopes of the Mousala ridge in the eastern part of the Rila Mountains Borovets reaches as high as 2600 sqms.
  
  With a mild winter and plenty of snow the climate is both healthy and relaxing and makes for a wonderful mixture of fun and great sports. With over 45 kms of pistes and challenging runs coupled with cross country skiing Borovets has something for all levels of skiiers.
  
  Apres ski in Borovets is the envy of the other resorts with bars, clubs, cafes and restaurants lining the streets each offering its own take on evening entertainment. Be it modern disco, folk dancing and horo dancing (don't ask) ther is something for all tastes in Borovets.
  
• Pamporovo Ski Resort
  With its close proximity to the Aegean Sea Pamporovo offers the warmest and sunniest climate during the winter ski season. The resort is the furthest away from Sofia some 240 kms away but nevertheless enjoys excellent skiing throughout the 4 month ski season that it enjoys.
  
  Skiing levels for all are catered for in the resort with a good selestion of levels for boarders and off piste skiiers exists. Ski rental and ski school instructors are plentiful in Pamporovo so this may prove another excellent starting point if you are new to the sport.
  
  Apre ski in Pamporovo is not as busy as Borovets but nevertheless there are still enough places to eat and drink so that you don't have to visit the same place twice during a typical ski holiday here. There are ample shops nearby and options for visits to Smolyan, Sofia and the nearby Monastery at Bachkovo. All in all a nice place to ski and mingle with some nice people.
